Tenio Latev, was created in Harmanli in southern Bulgaria, in which the Latev Family was associated with Tabacco & Trading. Before WW II , Mr. Tenio Latev was heading the Family business.

In 1947 Tenio Latev married the daughter from the local priest coupled with two kids with her, who currently are in Bulgaria and Switzerland.



The Latev family served many clients from all over the planet incl. Phillip Morris and some from the other big tobacco companies.

After 1949 the newest communistic government in Bulgaria took power and nationalized the tabacco business, forcing the Latev family from it. However Tenio Latev was lucky being promoted since the General Manager from the new state owned company, called Bulgartabac. The explanation for this is Tenio Latev's wast network of clients troughout the planet and his awesome capacity to find diplomatic solutions for complicated business problems.

He was not an advocate with the Communist Party however the position he held caused it to be mandatory for him to join the Party. He served the Party at his best effort and was promoted many times in his professional political career. You are able to today he was one of the few government officials who never accepted big scale bribes. From the wealthy and successful business family that's been expropriated, Tenio Latev would be a modest, soft hearted giant ( 195cm tall ).



The Latev Family was gone to live in Sofia in 1951, where Tenio Latev served as the General Manager and Director for Bulgartobacco till 1985.

Throughout his career he was given the privilege to visit the planet from The big apple to Moscow and several other destinations. Only some chosen people back in these days of communist Bulgaria could try this.

An Austrian author recently published a magazine according to material seen in archives in Vienna/Austria, book name: Bulgartabak im Austriapack, which mentions Tenio Latev and his benefit the federal government through the East-West trading relationships.

Tenio Latev was obviously a good father and husband plus an better yet grandfather to his three grandkids, one named after him and currently situated in Hong Kong.

Tenio Latev unfortuantelly died 1989, a few months prior to the communist era stumbled on a rapid end. He was not capable of witness the reestablishing of a free society in the beloved country. His wife died Half a year after him, loved ones express it was of your broken heart... She could not live without her husband.
